Scholarship Opportunity
I am 1 of 8, Inc. and Best Wishes Foundation collaborated together to create a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 for one High School Senior in the DFW Metroplex who has experienced the journey of a parent, relative, or a friend going through breast cancer, or is a survivor of breast cancer, or has passed away from breast cancer or some other chronic disease.
The winner will be selected by a committee and awarded in May of 2023.
You, the student, must:
- Provide a typed 500 word essay explaining how you have shown compassion, empathy and support to a person who is going through or have survived the journey of breast cancer or some other chronic disease, and give real advice on what not to do or say to them.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a school authority figure i.e., teacher, counselor, principal or coach.
- Provide a transcript showing that you have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
- Provide a copy of the acceptance letter from the college of higher education that you will attend in the Summer of 2023 or the Fall of 2023.
- Forward your essay, recommendation letter, and transcript in one envelope via US Mail. Postmarked on or before Monday, April 3, 2023 to the address below.
Remember, it must be post marked no later than, Monday, April 3, 2023.
